This page explains what the Motool site records when you read it, and what it does not.

Information We Collect

The contact and newsletter forms on this site are not connected to a mailbox or a mailing list, so nothing you type into them is stored or transmitted anywhere.

Server logs record the usual request data: an IP address, a browser string, the page requested, and a timestamp. Those logs exist to keep the site up and to spot abuse.

Cookies

A single preference cookie remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice, so the bar stays down on your next visit.

Analytics scripts may set their own cookies to count visits in aggregate. Block cookies in your browser settings and the pages still work; only the notice reappears each visit.

Third-Party Links

Product buttons lead to a retail listing on a separate site. Once you land there, that retailer's privacy policy governs what it collects, including any affiliate attribution.

Social icons in the footer behave the same way.

Security

Pages are served over HTTPS. Since the forms store nothing, there is no customer database on this site to breach.

No security arrangement is absolute, and we make no claim that it is.

Children's Privacy

This site addresses adults setting up motorcycle and bicycle suspension. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy appear on this page with a new date at the top. Check back if the way you use the site depends on the detail.
